The Lonely Legionnaire
This is a great blessing to die well, is to be granted immortality. For alas, I seek conquest and when the day emerges, a Warrior’s Death. There is no greater aspiration for men. In my heart a fiery will erases all of the tears of the past. I had now abandoned the goosebumps as we distanced ourselves from the smoldering shithole that once was proud enough to be called Pretoria. The broken roads east were quiet. Nothing but rolling hills and burnt plains as far as the eye could see. It was nothing more than ashes of a nation.
